Malachi Rivers, 'Cloud 9' Debut Single from His Forthcoming Album Stereo Sound Escape

Sleepy horns, melodic tone, great hook, and special voices are qualities that immediately come to mind when listening to "Cloud 9" the lead single from indie Hip Hop artist Malachi Rivers produced by the young and fresh "P-eZy", pronounced, (Peezy). The track is one of the few Hip Hop tracks that I have heard in a long time that actually makes me feel good when I listen to it! Accompanied by U.K. Soul singer Maria Bentley, Malachi flirts with us lyrically and captures us with his undeniable tonality. "Don't know what you had, but I know what I bring to the plate. Now baby anticipate the invasion of cloud 8, just enough to feel great but still aware of my state. Mental masturbate, get to the next level. Change my state of mind, its me and you on cloud 9."

Rivers, who is a very noteworthy spoken word artist turned MC, who resides in the legendary Harlem, New York can easily take us on a roller coaster that dips into Common and Gil Scott Heron alike but still manages to stay in his seat doing his own thing.

When asked what inspires him, Malachi says "I want to be more of an International sounding Hip Hop Artist. I love what I do and I'm doing my music my way." I have been exposed to an array of music from Go-Go music to traveling all over Europe performing with a Jazz Band. So I don't really focus on whats the new sound on radio, instead I listen to the sound in my heart as corny as that may sound."

With lyrical chops, a unique musicality, and just an overall star presence, Malachi is definitely on his way to "Cloud 9".
